What to Expect
Your acupuncturist starts by asking about your skin, your health and what you would like to focus on. They then place very fine needles on the face and neck, along with a few points on the body to support overall balance.
Facial acupuncture is part of your acupuncture session, which is 60, 75 or 90 minutes. Most people find it very relaxing.
Because changes build gradually, most people book a series of sessions. Everyone is different, so your acupuncturist will recommend how many sessions you need and how often, based on your skin and your goals.
Facial acupuncture is part of an acupuncture session with a Registered Acupuncturist, so it is included on your official acupuncture receipt. Many extended health plans cover acupuncture, so check your plan for your coverage.
