How Acupuncture May Support Fertility
Fertility acupuncture at our Mississauga clinic is a gentle, complementary approach that many people use alongside their medical care. Research is still developing, but acupuncture may help to:
• Support regular menstrual cycles
• Promote relaxation and ease stress and anxiety
• Support healthy blood flow
• Ease PMS and period-related discomfort
• Support your overall wellbeing during a demanding time
Acupuncture is not a guarantee of pregnancy and does not replace care from your doctor or fertility clinic. Our Registered Acupuncturists focus on supporting your body and your wellbeing along the way.
Support for Natural Conception
If you're trying to conceive naturally, acupuncture may help support more regular cycles, ease PMS symptoms and reduce stress. Your Registered Acupuncturist will ask about your cycle, health history, sleep, digestion and stress, then tailor a plan to you. Some people start a few months before they hope to conceive, but you're welcome to begin at any point. We welcome clients from Mississauga, Port Credit and surrounding communities.
Working Alongside Your Fertility Clinic
Acupuncture is often used as a complement to fertility treatments such as IVF and IUI. It may help you feel calmer and more supported through stimulation, retrieval and transfer.
We work alongside your fertility clinic and doctor, never in place of them. Please keep following your medical team's instructions, and let us know your protocol, medications and timeline so we can plan around them.
• Share your cycle schedule and transfer date with us
• Tell us about any medications or supplements you take
• Check with your doctor if you have questions about timing
Some people book sessions before and after an embryo transfer. We'll help you choose timing that works with your treatment schedule.

Male Fertility Support
Fertility challenges are not limited to women. Acupuncture may help men manage stress and support general wellbeing and circulation while they work with their doctor. Questions about semen analysis or other test results are best discussed with your doctor, and we're happy to work alongside them.
What to Expect
Your first visit at our Mississauga clinic includes a health assessment, a conversation about your goals and timeline, and your first treatment. Sessions are gentle and most people find them relaxing.
Most fertility plans involve regular visits over several weeks or months, and your acupuncturist will suggest a schedule that fits your cycle and goals. Results vary from person to person.
We're on Lakeshore Rd E, close to Port Credit, with free parking behind the clinic.
Fertility Acupuncture FAQs
Does acupuncture improve fertility?
Research is mixed and still developing. Some people find acupuncture helps with relaxation, sleep and coping with stress during a demanding time. It cannot guarantee pregnancy.
Is acupuncture safe during IVF or IUI?
Acupuncture is generally considered safe when performed by a Registered Acupuncturist. Please tell us about your protocol, and check with your doctor or fertility clinic as well.
When should I start?
Some people begin a few months before trying to conceive or before an IVF cycle, but you're welcome to start at any time.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on your goals, your cycle and your treatment plan. Your acupuncturist will suggest a schedule at your first visit.
Does insurance cover fertility acupuncture?
Many extended health plans cover acupuncture, and we provide receipts you can submit for reimbursement. We don't offer direct billing, so payment is due at your visit by cash, debit or e-transfer.
Where is the clinic, and is there parking?
We're at 287 Lakeshore Rd E in Mississauga, close to Port Credit. There's free parking in the lot behind the clinic, in a free lot across the street (about a one-minute walk) and on nearby side streets. Street parking on Lakeshore Rd is paid.
